The Charleston Battery will begin their 2020 US Open Cup campaign against Tormenta FC of USL League One.
The Black and Yellow know Tormenta well, as the two are affiliates, but faced each other in the competition in 2018, with Patrick Okonkwo the difference in a hard fought second round win.
Before the Cup fixture, the two sides will play in preseason, which will close out the Battery’s warm-up slate on February 28th before the Battery then begin their League campaign against Atlanta United II on March 8th.
With all that said, the teams will definitely be well acquainted by the time the Cup tie rolls around, but with a spot in the third round up for grabs, familiarity will surely breed contempt.
The tie will be played on April 8th at Patriot’s Point, with kick off scheduled for 7PM.
