Battery to Open 2021 Against Charlotte on May 14

The Battery will face rivals Charlotte Independence on May 14 to open up their 2021 USL Championship campaign.

The announcement comes as the USL Championship unveiled its slate of home openers for the new season, which will begin with a flexible start date between “On or around May 1st.” The Battery are on the latter end of that window, but will be able to welcome fans to Patriots’ Point at 50% capacity.

The Black and Yellow allowed season ticket holders to attend at limited capacity last year in accordance to Charleston’s COVID-19 restrictions, but look forward to welcoming a broader audience to their new home in 2021.

The Battery begin their home campaign on May 14th, with the remaining 2021 fixtures to come in due course.
